Delicious Chicken wings slow cooked on a Big Green Egg
Ahh the smell of fall is in the air and the weekends will be spent rooting for your favorite football team and having great food with your friends and family.

The best way to cook the chicken wings is to thaw them first if frozen and then set up the Big Green Egg with chips and a low temperature smoke. The low temperature around 250 degrees will allow the chicken wings to slowly cook and absorb the delicious smoke flavor.
You can rub the wings with a light coat of honey and then dust them with Dizzy Pig seasoning rub. Add the wings to the Big Green Egg and allow the wings to slowly smoke at low temperature for one hour, then you will be ready for crisping.
You can run the temp up to 300 degrees and turn the wings frequently until they are to the desired crispness. You can also brush your favorite wing sauce on your wings at this point.
The wings can be placed in a cooler and then transported to the game for tailgating or warmed at the game in a cooler that has the warming feature.
Either way this is a great treat for the game and your wings will be a hit!
