Why Homeowners Choose Gunite Pools
Gunite pools offer a level of flexibility and customization that other pool types simply can’t match. Here’s why so many Upstate homeowners choose gunite:
Gunite pools are built entirely on-site, which means you’re not limited to pre-designed shapes or sizes. As experienced gunite pool installers, we can design a pool that fits your exact space, whether that includes custom depths, tanning ledges, spas, or water features.
Not every backyard is flat, square, or easy to work with—and that’s where gunite shines. If your property has a slope, tight access, or an unusual layout, gunite pool installation allows for much more flexibility in design and placement.
A gunite pool delivers that elevated, luxury look homeowners are after. With options like tile, pebble, or plaster finishes, you can create a pool that feels like a natural extension of your home and outdoor living space.
Gunite pools are known for their strength and longevity. When properly maintained, they can last for decades, making them a great long-term investment for your home.

Common Questions About Gunite Pools
Because gunite pools are built on-site and fully customized, timelines are longer than pre-manufactured options. Most gunite pool installation projects take several weeks to a few months, depending on the complexity of the design and site conditions.
In many cases, yes. Gunite pools are typically a higher upfront investment than vinyl or fiberglass pools due to their custom design and construction process. However, they offer unmatched flexibility and can add long-term value to your home.
With proper care, a gunite pool can last for decades. While the structure is extremely durable, interior finishes may need to be resurfaced over time.
Compared to fiberglass, gunite pools do require a bit more maintenance. Their porous surface can make them more prone to algae growth, so regular cleaning and proper water chemistry are important. But don’t let the thought scare you away–we offer several types of cleaning services that you can use to keep your pool in the best shape possible.
